Approximately 25,000 homes in Queensland's southeast woke up lacking electricity on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems impacted the region, generating wind gusts reaching 109km/h.

Massive Hailstones and Broad Destruction

Residents observed substantial frozen pellets as large as seven centimeters in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that different parts across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

Tuesday was predicted as the wettest day, with persistent severe weather risk anticipated across various areas of both regions.
